At Home With The Scorpion People:

At home with the
Scorpion People,
we humbly stand upon
their emerald hillside,
flanked by an oversized
Patron Saint.

Enormous wings frozen
in granite and time
she too waits for
Pauchemama's ring of fire
to return to nature.

And we turn our heads
to grasp the volatile valley
encapsulating the horizon,
each volcano dormant
as the once animate statue
towering overhead.

And while the torment
rages beneath our feet,
signaling celestial beginnings of
The 6th Era, denizens of
candy colored houses, emerging from
the shadows of a
pigmented poverty,
sweep out dusty religion.
